Sabrina Quile BSN RN
Legal Nurse Consultant
Medical Necessity Specialist
Founder, Oath Legal Nurse Consulting LLC
With over 13 years of nursing experience in acute care and utilization review, I bring a strong clinical and medical necessity perspective to legal case analysis. My clinical background includes Medical-Surgical, Telemetry/Stepdown, Intensive Care, and Orthopedic and Spine Surgery. I also have extensive experience in case management and utilization review, providing a broad understanding of patient care across the healthcare system.
I currently practice as a Utilization Review Nurse, where I evaluate inpatient medical records to determine medical necessity, appropriate level of care, and length of stay using nationally recognized evidence-based criteria. This work requires detailed analysis of complex medical documentation and the ability to identify whether the care provided meets clinical standards and established guidelines.
Before founding Oath in 2026, I worked as an in-house Legal Nurse Consultant at a personal injury law firm. In this role, I screened medical malpractice cases during the intake process, reviewed and analyzed medical records, developed detailed medical chronologies, and prepared clear, concise summaries to support the medical analysis sections of settlement demands for a variety of case types. I also attended Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), assisted attorneys with deposition preparation by developing medically focused questions, and helped identify and retain appropriate medical experts. This experience provided valuable insight into the litigation process and strengthened my ability to anticipate attorney needs, identify key medical issues early, and deliver work product that directly supports case strategy.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco, and completed a Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate program through the University of Arizona. I am licensed in Arizona with a Compact RN license and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
As a Legal Nurse Consultant, I assist plaintiff and defense attorneys in medical malpractice, falls, dog bites, product liability, nursing home neglect, motor vehicle accidents and wrongful death cases (and more!) by translating complex medical information into clear, organized, and objective findings. My services include:
Medical record organization, indexing, and bates stamping
Medical Record Review
Case Merit Analysis (Pre-retainer and Post)
Medical Chronologies
Medical Necessity, Level of Care, and Length of Stay Evaluations
IME Chaperoning (Local only)
Attorneys rely on my work to identify key clinical issues, clarify the appropriateness of care, and determine whether services provided were supported by established medical standards and evidence-based criteria.
My practice is built on organization, integrity, thorough analysis, clear communication, and dependable turnaround times. My goal is to provide accurate, objective medical insight that helps attorneys evaluate and strengthen their cases.
